Here I am!

That's me, by the way

Well - so much for a daily blog...

That didn't last long, did it? Well, I spent today going through ancient paperwork as the handover continued from the old wardens.
Found this bunch of nutters on the web - read the FAQs - what a manifesto for absolutely nothing other than "I don't much like the idea of a royal family.
Incidentally, if I don't get round to it, which is quite likely, I'd like to wish Her Majesty the Queen a very happy birthday for Friday.

At the going down of the sun....

Well - my first day of blogging draws to a close - what a boring arse I am! - Popped down to the church to look at the terrier and inventory, bought some new altar breads and palm crosses for Sunday.
I really love sitting in the church on my own, it's over 1000 years old, and it's amazing to think of the long line of wardens, priests, vicars and worshippers who have preceeded me - Can I see people here in a 1000 year's time - of course, but we've got some work to do before then!

First Post

First post - now that's a nostalgic term, it always assumed that there would be a second one following it....

I decided yesterday, listening to BBC Radio 4, and that irritating man, Giles Brandreth, that I'd start a journal, and that I'd post it online. Partly because it's easier, and cheaper than buying a diary. But also because it seems quite cool to have a blog and it might just take off...
